Tidewater Art Alliance (TAA) Donations
TAA will be giving away an annual donation of $1,000 to a Hampton Roads art organization in need of money. TAA will be accepting requests for donations October 1 through November 1, 2008. Please send a request letter, including a brief explanation of how the money would be used. |
Purpose:
- to promote the Visual Arts in Hampton Roads
- to increase access to high quality visual arts experiences for the community;
- to increase opportunities for artists to create and present their work; and
- to expand visual arts opportunities for young people.

Eligible Applicants: Hampton Roads/Tidewater Area not-for-profit organizations |
Eligible Activities:
- visual art supplies and equipments
- visual arts workshops, seminars, classes, lectures offering for free and open to public
|
Criteria for Evaluating Requests:
- 1st. Artistic quality of the proposed project
- 2nd. Financial Need of the applicant for the requested grant
- 3rd. Extent to which the proposed project meets the needs of the community and/or state
- 4th. Effective management of the applicant organization
- 5th. Cost effectiveness of the proposed project
